These locks are suitable to secure a blind chain to the wall with tension. Each pack of 100 also comes with the correct installation screws and product child safety swing tag and clip. All prices include postage anywhere in Australia.

Pack includes:

• 100 clear plastic child safety locks
• 100 screws
• 100 child safety swing labels
• 100 child safety clips to secure label to blind

The Product child safety swing tap and clip is to Australian blind industry standards as instructed by the ACCC.  It is on white background with black writing and states:

WARNING: Young children have died by wrapping loose curtain and blind cords or chains around their necks.  Secure cords or chains with cord guides or keep them out of reach by winding them around a cleat.  Move cots and furniture away from window covering  cords or chains.   Do not remove this label.  WARNING.

The child safety locks are 40mm x 9mm.  There are 100 of each in this pack.  The Product Safety swing tags are 62mm x 42mm.  They come with a plastic tag clip, which allows you to clip the tag to the blind.  Please note: we reserve the right to substitute this product with a product of equal value that also complies with the safety standards.  We will do this if there is a supply issue from our end.

PLEASE NOTE: These locks are suitable for chain controlled blinds. (usually Roller Blinds, Holland Blinds, or Vertical Blinds)  If you have cord controlled blinds (which are usually on Venetian or Roman Blinds) please see our Child Safety Lock & Label blind cords.

Please note installation instructions on the ACCC website in regards to height the corded internal window covering must be installed in such a way that a loose cord cannot form a loop 220 mm or longer at a height of less than 1600 mm above floor level

In 2010, the ACCC in Australia has introduced new national Consumer Product Safety Standard for Corded and Chained Internal Window Coverings.  This initiative is designed to reduce the risk to young children from wrapping loose curtain and blind cords or chains around their necks and choking. These locks are ideal to install and bring older blinds, self installed blinds, or blinds in rental properties up to the correct safety standards.
