A Coastal Sheer Curtain
Living on the Central Coast most residents are going for a Coastal look with their Window Curtains. Sheer Curtains in a flowing sheer fabric are by far the most popular.
You can style your home with sheer curtains for a Hamptons look, or a Coastal look. On the Central Coast we have found that most homes are designed with a modern flair and don’t tend to have the heavier curtains except for perhaps Media Room curtains. We then do a thick curtain to combat the sound and light.
The most popular colour in sheer curtains is white sheers curtains, off white sheer curtains, or a thin linen look sheer curtain. However, we have also installed some smokey browns, greys and even black in a sheer curtains.
A lining is certainly possible for a Sheer Curtain. It provides another layer of insulation from the heat. A lining is often popular when privacy or heat is an issue, but the client really loves the texture of a sheer curtain. A lining is another layer of fabric (often white) attached to the back of the sheer curtain.
Most sheer curtains are made as an “S” wave header type (lots of s waves along a track) which gives good privacy during the day.
For the ultimate in style and luxury we motorise our sheer curtains. We use the Somfy or Silent Gliss motor and track for a smooth and quiet operation. The Somfy motorised curtains can be operated by a remote control, a wall switch or “voice activated” with Alexa or Google Home.
Our showroom has several Sheer Curtains and Sheer fabrics on display including our Hamptons Linen Sheer Curtain fabric and our standard Sheer Fabrics. We also have motorised curtains on display in our showroom.
